On 18 February , I was awarded the prestigious Anugerah Seni Negara ( Karyawan Seni) by the YB Dato Shafie Apdal, Minister of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage of Malaysia, in the presence of DYMM Agung of Malaysia.
Also awarded alongside me, was Dr. Dhanya Thurairajah, dancer extraordinaire, student of Umesh Shetty, with the title Anugerah Bakat Muda Seni.
My parents were there, to make the night all the more memorable.
