Hero is a poignant story about Malaysian Indian politics and family drama. Presented by First Works and Instant Cafe Theatre, the story revolves around the central figure, a Malaysian Indian politician, who has been shot and killed. Yet, he hovers around his home as a ghost, telling his story and of his political struggles against his opponent. Also present at home are his wife and son, and thier monologues of their anguish and trials following his death. Very, very interesting dialogue. Jyotsna and I composed the music score to reflect a Indian, yet haunting mood of the whole tale.
